I longed for a permanent place to go camping,
so my goal was to find one preferable with a lake. I hunted all over South Jersey, couldn't find what I liked. One day we
had just gone for a ride and passed this wonderful lake, I saw trailers. AAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!, this is what I am looking for

We turned around
and went in, it wasn't even open yet, but we found the managers, booked a site for 2 weeks. Those 2 weeks were extended another
2 weeks, then I decide to stay there permanently. I put in for a site. Next year, I would be
a permanent resident. CedarLake, my site was number 3, a nice site, great view but I wanted to be right on the lake.

Yeah ! You know, duh ! The pic up top. Te, he, he, |
Here is a view of my lake in the fall,
the picture above. After 5 years, my seniority clicked in. I was offered a spot right on the
lake. I was thrilled, every site is outstanding, but being right on the lake gives you "the Million Dollar view". Nothing
to obstruct you view. The view was absolutely breath taking. My picture window in the dining room gave me
this million dollar view. I was truly blessed, a nice comfortable trailer with closed in porch, what more could you
want. I always acquired serenity at the lake, but this was your own private spot right on the lake. To the right of me, right
outside my porch the main view was the beach, then parkland til the road, there was absolutely nothing, but beauty to see.
I feel truly blessed that I had the opportunity to live on this beautiful piece of land for 8 years. If I never
find another place like it, my memories will be filled with beautiful thoughts.

Everyday, I
had many hummers come to feed from the nectar I offered them, they are incredible birds who can entertain you for hours
with their antics. Nature was in abundance, from the deer across the lake to turtles, snakes, frogs, birds, butterflys.
Cape May Point, is the stop over for many birds of all species, butterflys, etc. It is located at the bottom penisula
of New Jersey. Logistically located with Washington, D.C.. The location of our lake is so far south that
even the weather is different down there. If the residents in that area want to see snow, they have to go north
to Vineland. Back to birds. So of course many wandered here, too. I watched a beautiful bald eagle land
on her favorite tree and scoop a fish from the lake. Oh yes, plenty of fish. This was paradise for bird watcher's, fishermen, swimmers,
canoeiest, children had a ball, ironically, dogs were always welcomed. We had some pretty special dogs who resided with their
residents here. Where ever these people went their dogs were always with them. Our spot was generous, 75 ft. wide by 200 ft.
long. Bigger than some private home lots. This was truly a little piece of paradise, right here in Southern, New Jersey.

The owner of the lake decided to sell. He was past 70. He
owned his logging mill. Which is why this property was purchased. For all its beautiful cedar. A sad day,
when he annouced it to be sold. We all lost our favorite place. Everyone who ever stayed here commented on its
beauty. Belleplain National Forest bought the land. It has to go back to its natural state, which should take
about 10 years. Then they are going to put cabins all around the lake. I look forward to that day so I can
come again and visit, even though it would only be for 2 weeks, its something. I am so glad that the public will have
access to this piece of beautiful land in the heart of the "Pine Barrens". Note: As of 2007, nothing has taken
its place.

This is just about actual size of the
hummers at my windows. Sometimes there were as many as 15 at one time. They totally amazed me for hours, their antics. When
they fought for space at the feeder it was like they were dive bombers and would dive down and eliminte the competition. No
two are alike and you can distiguish one from the other by the density of color etc. They made quiet little chipping
noise when they were about. These little birds, I miss the most. They were so entertaining.
